Tropical Fish

A tropical aquarium can make a bright spot of tranquillity in an otherwise dull corner, the scene of neon Tetras gliding peacefully in their watery world, surrounded by drifting greenery is a great way to relieve the stresses of the day. Aquariums are also a fantastic tool to teach children the life cycle and fundamentals of pet care. For kids, watching live bearers such as Mollies and Guppies produce their offspring can be an amazing and educational experience. For others the challenge lays in recreating the environment of the aquarium as closely to the natural biome of its fish inhabitants as possible.

Whichever of these possibilities you wish to achieve, or perhaps a blend of all 3, the staff at Submarine Aquatics can help you. We can give advice with all stages of fresh water tank set up, from guiding you in your choice of tank design and substrates to helping you through the fundamental initial start up stages when your tank is fishless, cycling and its water chemistry is settling down. Are you having hell with a pre-existing tank? We can help you with that as well.

It does not matter whether you want a beautiful, fat goldfish swimming over bright, shiny gravel or a shoal of feisty Malawi Cichlids ducking and diving among rocks and branches, we stock all the equipment you need. Then there are the fish themselves; fast fish, boisterous fish, friendly fish and weird fish, fish with beautiful colours to fish perfectly camouflaged with their natural environment. There is a fish for every role and niche in the aquarium, from Corys to sift your sand and Ottos to suck algae off the glass, to snail hunting Loaches and fish that just enjoy hanging out like Angelfish.

Tropical fish come from water sources existing all over the world and they do not all get along, but the staff at Submarine Aquatics know them well and will be able to advise you in all aspects in the creation of the happiest, healthiest fresh water community.
